Dome Tents – Sturdy and Comfortable

There is a reason why dome tents are so popular with campers. They combine stability and a high level of comfort, which is why so many camping fans buy dome tents. The fact that dome tents - also known as igloo tents - can withstand extreme conditions is mainly due to the shape of the tent. The dome-like construction, as the name suggests, provides excellent protection against wind, rain, and snow.

The poles of the tent cross in the centre and are each fixed at the end. In this way, the dome tent stands all by itself and is very stable. The advantage is therefore that the tent can be pitched on any surface - whether on sand, grass, or gravel. A freestanding tent is also space-saving, as it does not necessarily need to be attached to the ground with guy ropes. Despite its self-supporting nature, the tent should be secured to the ground where possible to ensure maximum safety. In larger dome tents, additional sleeping cabins are positioned away from the communal area. These require more tent poles and must be additionally pegged down.

Igloo tents are usually quick to set up due to their simple construction and smaller number of tent poles, and your camping adventure can begin straight away. Because it is so easy to use, this type of tent is also ideal for camping newcomers. Our dome tents can comfortably accommodate up to 12 people.

The advantage of detachable flysheets is that they can simply be left off in the summer. This means it doesn't get too warm inside the tent and it still protects you from mosquitoes. By removing the outer tent, the igloo tent is ideal as accommodation in warm and humid regions.

Igloo Tents – Various Sizes and Possible Uses

Our dome tents are available in different sizes as spacious family tents, simple trekking tents or even as awnings for your camper or car.

Depending on its size, a dome tent may have several sleeping cabins. These separate areas ensure some privacy when you're out and about, and each room opens off the central dome. This creates a communal central space that can be used as required. Whether as a playroom for children, a central meeting place for meals or simply to spend time together - even in bad weather, this hub of the tent guarantees pleasant get-togethers. Dome tents with plenty of headroom provide additional comfort. Here you can spend time together in the communal area in bad weather - without having to keep your head down all the time. A camping lamp can be attached to the ceiling so that you can still sit together in the evenings when it gets cooler.

The separate sleeping cabins can also be used for other purposes if the space is not needed for sleeping. For example, one cabin can be used for luggage or to safely store food (in the boxes provided, of course).

We also have smaller, more compact tents with only one inner tent. The advantage here is that they can be pitched in a space-saving way and are relatively lightweight compared to larger tents.

This makes dome tents the right choice for any occasion - whether for a camping trip for two, at a festival, or for a summer holiday with the whole family. The all-rounder tent design is therefore a real favourite among camping fans.
