How big is a table tennis table?

The standard dimensions of a table tennis table are approx. 274 x 153 x 76 cm (LxWxH). This is the competition standard, which is often also popular in the leisure sector. However, there are also smaller sizes and mini table tennis tables that are only suitable for leisure use and therefore take up less space.

How much space do I need for a table tennis table?

A distinction can be made here between play use and storage. During the game, you need the dimensions of the standard board of 274 x 153 x 76 cm (LxWxH). Also note that for each board, a certain amount of free space must be allowed on all sides for the players to be able to play without obstacles. Depending on the game variant and number of players, different amounts of space are required. If your table tennis table is foldable, it will take up much less space for storage. A cover protects it from environmental influences - both indoors and outdoors.

What colour must the table tennis table be?

Whether blue, green, pink or grey - in the leisure sector, it's purely a matter of taste. In Germany, however, green and blue table tennis tables have become established. In the professional sector, there are more specifications. According to competition regulations, the surface must be uniformly dark in colour and matt. The advantage of dark table tops is that light or coloured balls are particularly visible. A matt playing surface also prevents reflections and glare that could disrupt the game.

Why do table tennis bats have two colours?

Table tennis bats have a coloured - usually red - and a black side. The different colours allow you to see which rubber and therefore which technique your opponent is using. This allows you to better adjust to your opponent's strokes.

Can I also use an outdoor table tennis table indoors?

An outdoor table tennis table can also be used indoors without any problems. However, if you plan to use the table tennis table exclusively indoors, an indoor table tennis table is the better choice for you, as it is usually cheaper to buy.

Can I also use an indoor table tennis table outdoors?

A table tennis table designed for indoor use should never be used outdoors. Indoor table tennis tables do not have a weatherproof coating and are therefore not recommended for outdoor use.

What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor table tennis table?

Outdoor table tennis tables have a different coating to indoor table tennis tables. This weatherproof coating makes the table tennis table more robust and protects it from sun, rain and the elements.

How much does a table tennis table weigh?

Our models weigh between 48 and 70 kg. Thanks to the folding function and transport wheels, the TT tables can still be easily moved and transported to save space. A folding table tennis table for children, on the other hand, weighs less than 10 kg.
