What are the advantages of an ergometer?

As well as building up your leg muscles, ergometer training strengthens your cardiovascular system and promotes blood circulation. It also improves your fitness and increases your lung capacity.

What is the difference between an exercise bike and an ergometer?

With an ergometer you can set the wattage very precisely electrically, with an exercise bike you set the resistance manually in stages using a dial.

Can I also enter a training programme manually?

Most of our ergometers also have a manual programme where you can adjust the settings individually.

Can I lose weight with the fitness bike?

To lose weight with the ergometer, you should set a low resistance and increase the cadence. However, other fitness equipment such as a cross trainer or rowing machine are more effective for this training goal. To lose weight effectively and sustainably, you should also make sure you eat a balanced and healthy diet.

What needs to be considered with the flywheel mass?

The greater the flywheel mass, the smoother and more comfortable the movement. As the flywheel mass increases, the intensity of the training also increases.

Is the saddle height adjustable?

Yes, all our ergometers have a height-adjustable saddle so that you can adjust it to suit you.

Which ergometers are compatible with Kinomap?

Can I place a carpet under the ergometer?

We recommend placing a floor protection mat under the ergometer. This ensures that the fitness equipment does not slip and has a sound-insulating effect. It also protects your floor from scratches.

What braking systems are available for ergometers?

In principle, the following braking systems are available for ergometers: air resistance, induction and magnetic. All Skandika ergometers have a magnetic braking system. The advantages of this are that it is very precise, low-maintenance and quiet.

Ergonomic, automatic and comfortable

With the Skandika Absiko, it is finally possible to customise the sitting position of a bicycle ergometer for an ergonomic movement sequence. This means you can always sit ergonomically and train optimally. The whole thing is infinitely variable, smooth and at the touch of a button. It couldn't be more comfortable!

Body measurement for the ideal sitting position

In the free Skandika Fitness app, which is connected to the device via Bluetooth, several user profiles can be created and, thanks to innovative body measurement with Sizeez, the ideal saddle and handlebar positions can be determined and saved. Abisko then automatically adjusts the positions when the respective profile is called up.

Training for every fitness level

The app offers several training programmes for different fitness levels as well as the option of individual and goal-oriented training. Training reports are created and the history can be called up at any time. While using the app, the personal device is safely stored in the integrated tablet/smartphone holder.

Resistance through EMS technology

The low-maintenance resistance system with modern EMS technology guarantees smooth movements and a fast response time to the powerful induction braking system. 36 resistance levels are set quickly and easily using the rotary knob and all relevant training data is shown alternately on the integrated LED display.

Ideal for users of all statures

The stable training device allows users with a body weight of up to 135 kg to train safely. Thanks to the electronic height adjustment of the saddle and handlebars, Abisko is ideal for athletes between 155 and 190 cm tall - perfect if several people in the household want to train on the same bicycle ergometer.

Easy access and transport

As if Abisko thinks for itself, the handlebars and saddle automatically move to the lowest position once the power has been reconnected to make it easier to get on. Integrated transport rollers help with relocation by lifting the device at the front of the handlebar until the rollers are in contact with the ground and then moving it slowly.

Ergonomically shaped saddle

The saddle is also designed for a high level of riding comfort. The wide, thickly padded seat is ergonomically shaped and can not only be adjusted electrically in height, but also manually in the horizontal position.
