When is a tent waterproof?

According to the standard, a tent is considered waterproof from a water column of 1,500 mm. A distinction is made between the water column of the tent wall and the tent floor.

What helps against heat in a tent?

To keep your tent cool, you should make sure that your tent is in the shade during the midday sun. Good air circulation is essential when camping in summer - it's best to have windows or doors opposite each other. Our tents with darkened sleeping cabins also help to keep the tent cool. How do I store the tent correctly?

Clean the tent and waterproof it if necessary before storing it for the winter. Also make sure that the tent is completely dry. To protect the tent fabric, ideally store the pegs, nails and poles separately. Store the tent in a dry, cool place with good ventilation.

When/how often to waterproof the tent?

How often you waterproof your tent depends on how often you use it and where you pitch it. However, we recommend waterproofing your tent at least every three months or before storing it. What is the vestibule in a tent?

The vestibule is a kind of anteroom outside the main tent. This area is covered, but usually not completely enclosed. For example, you can store equipment here that you want to protect but don't want to store directly in the tent. Depending on the type of tent, the vestibule may be larger or smaller.

How do I avoid condensation in the tent?

To avoid condensation in the tent, check in advance whether the ground is dry - otherwise moisture can form in the tent. Good ventilation is also very important. It is best if ventilation openings are opposite each other so that the air can circulate optimally. Wet clothing also contributes to condensation forming - so it is best to dry it outside during the day. "

Can a tent go in the washing machine or tumble dryer?

Never put the tent in the washing machine or tumble dryer! Detergents, softeners and heat attack the coating of the tent fabric and encourage mould. Spinning also puts a lot of strain on the material, while zips can damage the delicate tent fabric. This results in tears or loose seams that make the tent leaky.

How big should the tent be?

In addition to the living space that is shared, you should also pay attention to the cabins. The number of sleeping cabins and their location play a role here. Sleeping cabins separated by the living area or cabins with a flexible partition wall provide more privacy. As luggage also needs to be stored, you should also take this into account when choosing a camping tent. This can either be stored in the living area, an additional sleeping cabin or in the vestibule.

Sewn-in groundsheet

This spacious tent offers over 11 m² with a firmly sewn-in groundsheet and a very comfortable standing height of 190 cm. It makes fantastic outdoor adventures possible for families and friends who want to set up their holiday accommodation quickly and easily.

All-round protection

The firmly sewn-in groundsheet and the mosquito net at all entrances and windows guarantee perfect protection not only from annoying insects, but also from rising damp, moisture and draughts.

Dark sleeping cabin

The outer tent in the sleeping cabin area has a silver coating. Although this coating does not come close to the darkening effect of the Skandika Sleeper technology, it still contributes to a noticeable darkening effect without negatively affecting the circulation of fresh air.

Practical layout

The spacious sleeping cabin is located at the rear of the tent and offers space for up to 5 people. The front tent area invites you to linger, offers a sheltered retreat in bad weather or a place to sleep for surprise guests.

Practical sun canopy

This tent offers plenty of flexibility with its three entrances, all of which are fitted with mosquito netting. One of the two side doors can be converted into a shady sun canopy using the 2 poles supplied - depending on the time of day and the direction of the sun.

Many windows

Two combination windows with foil and mosquito net and two foil windows in the living area provide plenty of daylight so that the inside of the tent is pleasantly bright and cosy even when the doors are closed. All windows can be darkened if required.

Top equipment

Organiser pockets in the cabin provide space for all the little things you need to have to hand at night. The weather-protected permanent ventilation openings provide fresh air and a camping lantern can be hung from the practical ceiling hook at night. A matching carry bag and a repair kit round off the range.

Absolutely waterproof

The unbreakable fibreglass poles ensure a secure footing, even in strong winds. The extremely high water column of 3,000 mm of the PU-coated material of the outer tent and the carefully sealed seams also offer safety and comfort, even in storms and heavy rain.
