Skandika Kaupanga tunnel tent

The Skandika Kaupanga tunnel tent is the perfect companion for any outdoor adventure. The generously proportioned camping tent is quick and easy to pitch and offers plenty of space for up to 6 people in the dark sleeping cabin. Bright and flooded with light and with a large, covered vestibule, the Kaupanga is a versatile space miracle that is available in either conventional polyester tent material or environmentally friendly, 100% recycled polyester. Whether on the campsite for families and friends on holiday together, at the festival site at the weekend or on a long-awaited road trip, the Kaupanga always looks good and is always a good choice.

The dark sleeping cabin made of breathable material is located at the rear of the tent and offers sleeping space for up to six people. If required, the cabin can be divided into two smaller sleeping areas thanks to an optional partition wall to provide a little more privacy. The double doors of the cabin can be closed either opaque or with mesh only, giving you the choice between more darkness or more light. Even without darkening, the cabin remains perfectly protected from insects and optimally ventilated thanks to the mosquito net.

There is plenty of space for camping furniture and luggage in the light-flooded living area and the two large panoramic windows made of film allow a clear view of the outside. There are also two panoramic windows in the partition wall to the vestibule - this time in a triangular shape - and the centrally positioned entrance door can be conveniently opened to the side and rolled up. This door is also made of mosquito net on the inside and is closed opaque on the outside with a zip. The tent floor is firmly sewn in and offers perfect protection against moisture, draughts and crawling animals.

The highlight of the Kaupanga is the vestibule, which is firmly connected to the main tent. The awning significantly extends the usable living area and is perfect as a weather-protected retreat or as additional storage space. Equipped with panoramic foil windows at the sides and an entrance door that extends across almost the entire width of the front wall, the vestibule is flooded with light. When the door is fully open, it creates the feeling of a huge canopy, but with the advantage of being able to close it weatherproof should the weather conditions deteriorate. A separate shelf for the vestibule is included. All windows in the living area and vestibule can be darkened from the inside if required.

We have developed the Kaupanga from both conventional polyester tent material and environmentally friendly, 100% recycled polyester. In the case of the recycled material, excess material that was previously disposed of as waste is recycled and reused in the production of our tent fabric. In this way, we not only help to avoid mountains of rubbish, but also waste resources and help to protect our environment and nature.

The tent material has a water column of 3,000 mm and thanks to the sturdy fibreglass poles, the Kaupanga is absolutely waterproof and stands securely and firmly even in strong winds. The tunnel shape makes it easy to pitch and the smart tent is ready for use in no time at all. Clever details such as a hook for hanging a camping lamp in the living area and organiser pockets in the cabin make everyday camping easier and more comfortable.
