A Dutch Oven means freedom and authenticity. With our Skandika Flame Master, freedom can be enjoyed far away from civilisation by preparing a delicious meal. All you need is a little wood and a fire. Of course, the cast iron pot can also be put in the oven, but did the settlers in America 300 years ago have ovens?
With the Skandika Flame Master Dutch Oven, we have placed particular emphasis on material thickness, low casting defects and an even base thickness so that our pots can be used to prepare delicious dishes and stews. The cast iron used is extremely thick-walled and therefore has excellent heat storage properties. A special feature of the Dutch Oven is that glowing coal can also be placed on top of it to generate heat from above. The result then corresponds to the heat supply from all sides in an oven.
A clever detail of our Flame Master is the recess in the pot and in the edge of the lid, which can be opened or closed depending on the position of the lid. This allows the core temperature of the meat in the pot to be monitored with a thermometer if required. The opening is also practical if there is too much liquid in the cast iron pot, as it can evaporate easily through the hole. The arrow on the top of the lid marks the position of the notch and makes it easier to find the right setting when closing the lid.
The Skandika Dutch Oven is not only perfect for classic dishes such as layered meat. Cinnamon buns, bread or cakes can also be prepared perfectly in the cast iron pot. To ensure that you don't run out of recipe ideas so quickly, all Skandika Dutch Ovens include the extensive recipe book from the Sauerland BBCrew, who are now real YouTube stars of the BBQ scene.
All Skandika Dutch Ovens are pre-seasoned and can be used straight away. Thanks to the feet, they can be heated with briquettes without an extra rack. The lid also has feet and therefore also serves as a pan. With the practical lid lifter, the hot lid can be lifted safely during preparation to check the cooking progress.
