The Dundee is our top sleeping bag in blanket form and perfect for anyone who appreciates their freedom of movement at night. The straight, rectangular shape offers plenty of space, both in the upper shoulder area and at the foot end, and yet the Dundee has not sacrificed the advantages of a cosy head section - as in a mummy sleeping bag.
In addition to the generous amount of space, the cosy inner lining is another highlight of the Dundee sleeping bag. Made from soft cotton flannel, it is pleasantly warm against the skin, even at slightly lower temperatures. The fresh pattern is perfectly matched to the colour of the outer material, while the honeycomb ripstop polyester material is durable, water-repellent, breathable and at the same time beautifully soft for a pleasant sleeping experience without crunching or rustling.
Equipped with a filling of 2 layers of 200 g/m² microfibre, the Dundee is a 3-season sleeping bag and suitable for comfort temperatures from 12 °C to 2 °C. The generous head section has a 14 cm high edge with a drawstring to allow you to snuggle up completely and keep your head and shoulders nice and warm. The special chamber construction of the filling ensures that it always remains well distributed and does not slip even during the washing process. The sleeping bag can be machine washed at 30 °C on a gentle programme, ensuring that it is thoroughly refreshed without the colours fading.
The 2-way zips with Skandika pullers can be easily opened both from the inside and outside. The longer zip has a double Velcro fastening at the top so that the zip cannot open on its own. For thermal insulation, there is a thick fabric strip along the inside of both zips to prevent warm body heat from escaping through the zip. To prevent the zip from catching on the flannel lining when opening and closing, a woven tape is sewn along the fabric strip to protect it from being caught. In milder temperatures, the shorter zip at the foot end can be unzipped individually to allow feet to cool down a little. If both zips are opened, the sleeping bag can be spread out into a large blanket.
There is a small pocket with a Velcro fastener inside the sleeping bag. Smartphones or keys can be stored here safely and within easy reach - particularly practical if you want to listen to some music while you fall asleep.
The stuff sack ensures dust-free storage of the sleeping bag and compression straps, some with click fasteners, make it very easy to compress to a small size. The clever bonnet guarantees that everything stays dry and clean, even at the opening of the pack sack, and the sleeping bag can always be transported and stored well protected.
The Dundee is available with the zip on the left or right. A sleeping bag with a zip on the left can be combined with a sleeping bag with a zip on the right to create a large sleeping bag for couples.
Well equipped, stylish in design and above all practical, the Dundee is always a good choice for camping, festivals and surprise guests.

Our sleeping bags are all filled with microfibre. This means you can easily wash them in the washing machine at 30° C on a gentle programme. To do this, close all zips and Velcro fasteners and open any drawstrings. Also turn the sleeping bag inside out.
This depends entirely on the frequency of use and whether you use a ticking for your sleeping bag, for example. Your sleeping bag should be cleaned after about two months of use without a ticking.
Avoid putting a microfibre sleeping bag in the tumble dryer. This could cause the warmth to fade. Drying in the fresh air is recommended. It should also be dried flat so that the filling material remains evenly distributed.
As a rule of thumb, the sleeping bag should be as wide as necessary and as narrow as possible. This is especially true for colder regions. If there is too much space, the free space would need more time to warm up. But you should also be able to move around comfortably. If the sleeping bag is too narrow, you would otherwise disrupt the flow of warmth by compressing the filling.
The blanket sleeping bag is angular, i.e. equally wide at the top and bottom. This gives you more freedom of movement, making this sleeping bag more suitable for warmer regions. As the name suggests, you can also use it as a blanket. The mummy sleeping bag is modelled on the shape of the human body and is therefore wider at the top than at the bottom. They offer very good insulation and are therefore suitable for colder destinations. They also often have a head section such as a hood, which keeps you nice and warm.
The comfort range indicates the temperature at which you can lie comfortably in your sleeping bag without freezing - measured against the "standard woman". Women tend to get cold more quickly than men. The limit range therefore indicates the temperature at which the "standard man" sleeps in his sleeping bag without freezing. The extreme range, on the other hand, defines the temperature at which it is just about bearable in a sleeping bag - measured against the standard woman. Note, however, that this is usually too cold and you could get hypothermia.
Both the sleeping bag and the sleeping mat fulfil important functions when camping. They are therefore both equally important for a comfortable night's sleep in the tent. Where the sleeping pad protects you from the cold ground - i.e. keeps the cold away from you - the sleeping bag ensures that your body heat is retained so that you stay nice and warm.
If you are not going to use your sleeping bag for a long time, it is best to store it in a dry place that is not too cold - such as in your wardrobe. You should also not store it permanently in a tight pack sack, but rather in an extra storage bag. Alternatively, you can simply use a pillowcase. Stuff the sleeping bag into the bag or pillowcase instead of rolling it. The material could lose insulation when rolled.
Make sure that you always buy two different sleeping bags when buying a sleeping bag that can be zipped together. One should have the zip on the left and the other on the right so that you can connect them together.
Yes, all our sleeping bags come with a stuff sack. Just make sure you pack it in a storage bag or pillowcase for long-term storage.
