How do I adjust the water resistance?

You can vary the resistance by the amount of water in the water tank. The more water in the tank, the higher the resistance.

How much water do I put in the tank?

Pay attention to the markings on the tank, which indicate the maximum and minimum fill level.

How often do I have to change the water in the water tank?

We recommend that you change the water at least every 6 months - depending on the intensity of your training - or if there are signs of discolouration, algae, etc. To avoid this, never expose the water tank to direct sunlight.

Do I have to drain the water when stowing the rowing machine?

You do not have to drain the water from the water tank after every rowing training session. However, if you pause your rowing training for several days in a row, we recommend that you remove the water from the tank.

Why should I choose a rowing machine with water resistance?

Water rowing machines produce a pleasant sound backdrop during training, giving you a realistic rowing feeling. When performing the movement, you can regulate the resistance by adjusting the water level in the tank.

Can 2 people with different training requirements train?

Yes, because the resistance can be varied by the filling quantity. To do this, either drain the water or add more water to create a higher resistance.

Can I place a carpet under the rowing machine?

We recommend placing a floor protection mat under the rowing machine. This ensures that the fitness equipment does not slip and has a sound-insulating effect. It also protects your floor from scratches.

Can I use distilled water?

It is sufficient to fill the water tank of your rowing machine with plain tap water. Changing the water regularly and using chlorine tablets will help to prevent the build-up of deposits. Only use distilled water if you do not want to use chlorine tablets. However, this can cause deposits to form more quickly in the tank, as distilled water is chlorine-free.

What do I have to consider with chlorine tablets?

We recommend using chlorine tablets preferably before using distilled water with a water rowing machine. However, under no circumstances should chlorine tablets and distilled water be used at the same time, as otherwise the tank may be damaged.

Dry rowing training as close to reality as possible. This is our credo and the reason for the further development of the successful rowing machine Nemo II from Skandika. We continue to utilise the purist design and the advantages of the individually adjustable water resistance, but have added a new, innovative computer. The important training data such as stroke rate, distance, calories, heart rate, time and watts remain the same, but the Bluetooth interface for using apps such as Kinomap is new. The integrated receiver for the supplied Skandika chest strap also enables the heart rate to be displayed. Skandika customers receive a code to test the full version of the Kinomap app free of charge for 60 days through the Gold partnership with Kinomap. Live videos, coaching and virtual training videos take every training session to a new level and enable workouts in the most beautiful places in the world. The ergonomic and easy-glide seat has a large, comfortable seat surface and the non-slip pedals with Velcro fasteners and the sweat-repellent pull handle also contribute to a comfortable workout. This makes it safe and comfortable to use for exercisers up to 200 cm tall and weighing up to 150 kg.
