What are the advantages of an ergometer?

As well as building up your leg muscles, ergometer training strengthens your cardiovascular system and promotes blood circulation. It also improves your fitness and increases your lung capacity.

What is the difference between an exercise bike and an ergometer?

With an ergometer you can set the wattage very precisely electrically, with an exercise bike you set the resistance manually in stages using a dial.

Can I also enter a training programme manually?

Most of our ergometers also have a manual programme where you can adjust the settings individually.

Can I lose weight with the fitness bike?

To lose weight with the ergometer, you should set a low resistance and increase the cadence. However, other fitness equipment such as a cross trainer or rowing machine are more effective for this training goal. To lose weight effectively and sustainably, you should also make sure you eat a balanced and healthy diet.

What needs to be considered with the flywheel mass?

The greater the flywheel mass, the smoother and more comfortable the movement. As the flywheel mass increases, the intensity of the training also increases.

Is the saddle height adjustable?

Yes, all our ergometers have a height-adjustable saddle so that you can adjust it to suit you.

Which ergometers are compatible with Kinomap?

Can I place a carpet under the ergometer?

We recommend placing a floor protection mat under the ergometer. This ensures that the fitness equipment does not slip and has a sound-insulating effect. It also protects your floor from scratches.

What braking systems are available for ergometers?

In principle, the following braking systems are available for ergometers: air resistance, induction and magnetic. All Skandika ergometers have a magnetic braking system. The advantages of this are that it is very precise, low-maintenance and quiet.

Unlike a classic ergometer, the seating position on the Cykling P14 Comfort is similar to that of an outdoor recumbent bike. The high backrest, the wide seat, the low entry and the reclined seating position make training more comfortable and easier on the joints. This makes our recumbent ergometer ideal for endurance sports as well as rehabilitation training and offers seniors and people with special needs in particular a pleasant training option.

The 32 electrically adjustable resistance levels and heart rate-controlled training - thanks to integrated hand pulse sensors - support targeted training.

Smart training computer with high-resolution touchscreen

The smart training computer of our Skandika Cykling P14 Comfort recumbent ergometer with its modern touchscreen offers a flexible platform with pre-installed apps for streaming services and other online platforms. In addition, a wide range of training programmes and functions enable comprehensive and detailed analysis of all training data.

Extensive computer functions

The display shows all relevant training data such as time, calories, heart rate, speed, distance, revolutions per minute and the number of watts so that you can always keep an eye on your training and progress. In addition to the number of watts, parameters such as gender, age and body weight can also be set for target-orientated training.

Fitness and entertainment

The computer has a Bluetooth interface as well as a WiFi connection to access the "Media" function area with pre-installed apps during training. The sound can be played back via the built-in speakers or your own Bluetooth headphones. A tablet holder keeps the end device safe during training.

Pulse sensors for heart rate monitoring

The hand pulse sensors integrated in the handle make it possible to monitor the heart rate during training. Together with the heart rate controlled mode, they help you to always train at the right rhythm and heart rate. Transmission via a Bluetooth chest strap (available separately) is also possible thanks to the integrated receiver.
