SUV awning for tailgate

The sun is shining and the temperatures are rising: it's picnic season! However, what is often missing at summer picnics is a shady spot to relax. With the Skandika SUV sun awning, the problem is now cleverly solved! The clever sail can be assembled in no time at all and simply attached to the tailgate of the car to create a large area of protective shade. No more lugging camping chairs and a cool box around, because the shady picnic area is right next to the car!

Thanks to the four poles supplied, there are several options for using the awning with or without a car, e.g. free-standing as a pavilion roof, set up on the ground at the side as a privacy screen and windbreak or even simply leant against a building wall or a wall. The separate windbreak can be attached to the awning with Velcro as required to provide an additional opaque, shady area. There are almost no limits to your imagination - try it out!

The waterproof material is both hard-wearing and easy to clean. Simply wipe with a damp cloth and the awning will look fresh again. Two permanent ventilation openings are integrated into the roof section to prevent heat build-up and a large window made of mesh fabric with an outer cover allows the light and air supply under the sail to be regulated very flexibly.

The roof section of the sun awning is stabilised with three unbreakable fibreglass poles to create a light dome shape. The four poles are made of steel and are secured with guy ropes. Attaching the sail to the car is child's play with the two rubber tensioning straps, which are fitted with plastic hooks to protect the paintwork: simply hook onto the wheel rims, door handles or roof rails etc.

Despite its large surface area and wide range of possible uses, the awning weighs just 6 kg and has a pack size of 64 x 16 x 16 cm, making it compact enough to take anywhere. The sail is easy to transport in the robust carry bag and all individual parts are safely stored and protected from dust and dirt.
