How is the cross trainer supplied with power?

All Skandika cross trainers - with the exception of the Vidar cross trainer - are powered via a power supply unit connected to the socket. So when choosing a location for your cross trainer, make sure that there is a power socket near your training area or use an extension cable.

Does the device also work without a power supply?

Theoretically, you can also use your cross trainer without electricity. However, without power you can neither adjust the resistance nor use the training computer with its versatile functions. If you want to train effectively, make sure that your cross trainer is connected to the power supply.

What factors do I need to consider when buying a cross trainer?

First and foremost, the available space, your own height and the ceiling height are important. Because safe and effective cross training is only possible if the cross trainer fits you and your home. Other factors that play a role when buying a cross trainer are the individual stride length, the Q-factor, the flywheel mass, the braking system, but also the functionalities such as training programmes, Bluetooth and app compatibility.

Can I lose weight with a cross trainer?

The cross trainer is the most popular piece of fitness equipment for losing weight. With the right training programme - such as interval training - you can burn 600-700 kcal per hour. However, you should also make sure you eat a healthy and, above all, balanced diet and ideally draw up a training plan so that you can train regularly and continuously.

What are the benefits of training on the cross trainer?

In addition to burning fat and building muscle, working out on the cross trainer helps to strengthen the cardiovascular system.

What does the Q-factor mean?

The Q-factor measures the distance between the two pedals. If you look at how people walk naturally, their legs are usually close together. Therefore, the Q-factor should also be low to enable an optimal foot position and thus ergonomically sensible and joint-friendly training.

What is the difference between a cross trainer and an elliptical trainer?

The difference lies in the position of the flywheel, which is located at the front of the elliptical trainer and at the rear of the cross trainer.

What is the maximum user weight?

The maximum user weight is between 120 and 150 kg. At 150 kg, the Carbon Champ and Carbon Conqueror elliptical trainers and the Morpheus cross trainer have the highest user weight.

What does the flywheel mass mean?

The greater the weight of the flywheel mass system, the higher the intensity of your workout. In addition, a higher weight makes it easier to overcome the reversal points of the movement and the training is more even.

Is training on a cross trainer easy on the joints?

Yes, training on the cross trainer is easy on the joints. Due to the flatter and elliptical motion, the workout on the elliptical trainer is even more natural and easier on the joints.

How tall can I be to train on the cross trainer?

The maximum user height is determined by the height of the pedals and the ceiling height of the room where you want to set up your cross trainer. So add up your height and the height of the pedals plus approx. 15 cm of clearance to find out whether the cross trainer you have chosen is the right one for you.

Is the display illuminated?

The LCD displays or LED displays on the cross trainers are all illuminated.

Can I put a carpet under the cross trainer?

We recommend placing a floor protection mat under the cross trainer. This ensures that the fitness equipment does not slip and has a sound-insulating effect. It also protects your floor from scratches.

Who are cross trainers suitable for?
