You can cook one pot pasta in any number of variations you like. And the good thing is that all you need is a single pot - making it a perfect camping recipe and ideal for the DO. We have a real classic for you: Mac and cheese from the Dutch oven!
Preparation with briquettes
Depending on the size, you should place 17-19 briquettes under the Dutch Oven.
Preparation
1
Finely chop the garlic. Bring the macaroni, whole milk, garlic and paprika powder to the boil in the Dutch oven and simmer until the pasta is cooked and the milk has been absorbed. This takes about 10-15 minutes.
2
Fold the butter into the pasta and then add the grated cheese.
3
Then season with salt and pepper. When serving, sprinkle the chives over the plates.
A little tip: After you add the maccheroni, you can add sweetcorn to the pot. Broccoli also tastes very good with mac'n'cheese. Simply blanch or sauté the broccoli before adding the remaining ingredients. Spring onions or fried onions also go well as a topping.
