The best routes throughout Germany
From June to August 2022, you can use all public transport services with the 49-euro ticket. To make your decision a little easier, we have picked out a few exciting routes that will take you to some of the most beautiful places in Germany.
You will also find tips for the most beautiful campsites in the area. Plan some time for the campsite if necessary.
You can buy the 49-euro ticket on the respective website, in the app and at all train ticket machines as well as from the relevant transport associations. Simply select the month for which you would like to use the ticket. This allows you to travel as often as you like on local public transport throughout the month. However, long-distance trains such as ICE, EC and IC are excluded.
Attention: If you want to take a dog with you when travelling, you still need an extra ticket. If you want to go on an excursion by bike, you also need to book this separately. Children under the age of 6 travel free of charge.

As you are travelling by train, it makes sense to pack light. This means: make sure you take lightweight camping equipment with a small pack size. Also try to pack as few clothes as possible. Nevertheless, be prepared for any weather conditions that may prevail at your holiday destination. You now have the option of washing your clothes at almost every campsite
The following camping accessories, for example, are ideal for lightweight camping equipment:
You can save a lot of weight with the sleeping mat: Our Exclusive Air Single mattress weighs just 900 g and has a very small pack size - making it ideal for trips by train. Alternatively, the Elite Air Double mattress with a weight of 1,600 g offers you space for two people. If you are not travelling alone, you can save some weight.
The sleeping bag should be light and compact to stow away. Our Vegas sleeping bag is available in many different colours and weighs just 1,900 g despite its extra-large shape. With a pack size of 42 x 25 cm, the sleeping bag also packs up small.
Finally, the most important thing: the right tent. You should pay particular attention to the weight of the tent if you are not travelling by car and have to carry everything. Smaller tents that are automatically lighter are sufficient for a few days. Our Hemus Sleeper tunnel tent, which is also available as a recycled version, is suitable for two people and weighs just 2.5 kg. Alternatively, you can choose our Dale 3 Sleeper dome tent, which weighs 5.5 kg and offers space for up to 3 people.
We wish you lots of fun on your camping holiday in Germany with the 49-euro ticket!
