Water rowing machines: Our Nemo models in comparison

Similarities and differences between our Nemo rowing machines

- Reading time 999 minutes

Nemo III, Nemo IV, Nemo V and Nemo Compact. It's easy to lose track of the various Nemo rowing machines with water resistance. But what are the actual differences between our Nemos? We explain the different designs and their advantages. Before that, you'll get a brief overview of their commonalities. Finally, you will find a comparison of the most important key figures of all Nemos.

Common features of the Nemo rowing machines

In addition to the key differences between the various Nemos, we will briefly introduce you to the features that each of the rowing machines has.

Nemo III with monorail

The Nemo III has a horizontal water tank with a very large capacity of 17 litres. This allows you to regulate between 9 individually adjustable resistance levels to choose the right resistance for you. Simply fill or remove the right amount of water from the water tank to increase or minimise the resistance. This makes the water rowing machine suitable for every athlete - from beginner to professional.

In addition, the Nemo III is equipped with a monorail - a single rail that runs down the centre of the legs. This means that the feet are about the width of your pelvis apart. This ensures increased stability for your body during training. In addition, this rowing machine has a practical folding system, which means that the traction bar can simply be folded upwards. This allows you to store your Nemo in a space-saving manner.

Nemo IV with double rail and inclined tank

The first thing you will notice about this water rowing machine is that the water tank is now inclined by 45° instead of horizontally. The inclination of the water tank intensifies the resistance and makes training more effective. Instead of a 17 litre water tank like the Nemo III, the Nemo IV only holds 14 litres. However, this does not reduce the resistance, because the 45° incline means that you only need less water for a higher resistance and you can perform an intensive workout.

Compared to its predecessor, the Nemo IV has an external double rail instead of a monorail. This design increases the stability of the rowing machine, making the Nemo IV suitable for particularly intensive, performance-orientated and regular training sessions. The practical stand-up function allows you to store the water rowing machine upright. This means that the footprint is only 0.468 m².

Nemo V with vertical tank

With our Nemo V, the tank is positioned at a 90° angle. This favours an even stronger water resistance for a more intensive workout. This means you have to exert more force to set the rowing blades in motion. Although the tank only holds 5.4 litres, the vertical 90° angle allows for up to 20 % more intensive rowing training compared to other rowing machines with a horizontal water tank.

The inner double rail contributes to the stability of the rowing machine, similar to the Nemo IV. Like its predecessor, the Nemo V is equipped with a storage function, allowing you to easily store it on 0.484 m².

Nemo Compact - Suitable for every home

Our Nemo rowing machine is also available in a more compact version so that you can find space for your own rowing machine with water resistance** in the smallest of spaces. The advantage of this is that the rowing machine can be folded up very small. This saves a lot of space when stowed away and takes up just 0.42 m² when stood on end. In addition, the water tank of the Nemo Compact is located directly under the seat. This also saves space during training.

The water rowing machine also comes with an Easy Packing System. 90% of the rowing machine is pre-assembled and you can start your workout in just a few simple steps.

Similar to the Nemo III, the Nemo Compact folding rowing machine features a horizontal 13-litre tank and a monorail. The feet are once again pelvis-width apart to ensure a stable posture during training.
